COMFORT COMA is a compilation of songs written in the last year.

Brian Christopher Gibson is WAX PIG MELTING.
Recent years have seen Gibson start exploring other mediums such as Visual Art and more community based events and organizations. One of the Artist In Residency experiences Brian had in the last year gave him tools to create music again and to document his creative process more easily.

Since May of 2022, Gibson was flown to Europe to attend the Italian Arts Festival the Bienalle, as well as 3 other Capitol Cities in Europe such as Athens, London and Berlin. For a man who'd never set a foot outside of Vegas past Denver or California; the trip blew his brain all but wide open, with culture finally infecting him at age 32.

Upon return from this experience, Gibson had 2 art exhibitions in Downtown Las Vegas, NV, each gallery being smack dab in the center of the Arts District. The first show, Automatische Narr, translating to "Automatic Fool" in German, was coincidentally right next store to Berlin Bar in August.

In between Automatic Fool and his new exhibit in November, entitled "Boy Toy Summer" held at interior design group INSIDESTYLE's office on Main Street & Charleston, Gibson was in New Orleans Square with a month long apprenticeship under Deana Khoshoba.

It was all throughout these first time & quite frankly luxurious experiences that Gibson was creating this music.

It can be viewed as a mosaic of varying genres and qualities of recording. Included to further this sentiment is the full series of zines entitled SCANNER LIGHTLY VOL. 1 - 12. SCANNER LIGHTLY is a digital zine . The intimate collection of sketches and thoughts scrawled out throughout the last 3 years is available in made-to-order physical copies, as well.

The visual feeling of the zine series is a decent comparative style for the listening experience of COMFORT COMA. Quickly jotted down entries into a journal he avoided approaching as if he would one day show others. This was true practice of his craft he hadn't explored since 2018's acoustic release of "Reverse Conundrum".
